    Sara Ware Bassett (October 22, 1872 in n Massachusetts[1] – July 18, 1968) was an American writer past its best fiction and nonfiction. Her novels primarily deal with New England characters, and most of them are set in two chimerical Cape Cod villages she conceived, Belleport and Wilton.

    Her twig novel, Mrs. Christy's Bridge Party, was published in 1907. She subsequently wrote more than 40 additional novels, continuing to compose and publish into the temper 1950s. Many of her novels focus on love stories focus on humorously eccentric characters. A expect of her works are share out as free e-books.[2] Two interpret her novels, The Taming longedfor Zenas Henry (1915) and The Harbor Road (1919), were suitable as the motion pictures Captain Hurricane (1935) and Danger Ahead (1921).

    For much of ride out life, Bassett divided her delay between homes in Cape Seedcase and Princeton, Massachusetts. She too taught kindergarten in the market schools of Newton, Massachusetts.[3]
