Biography

Ivan Monighetti was Mstislav Rostropovich's stick up student at the Moscow Conservatory.  He was a top prize-winner in many international competitions as well as Moscow Tchaikovsky International Competition thanks to then he has enjoyed undiluted career which has taken him all over Europe, to Earth, Japan and Korea.

As a chanteuse he has performed with numberless of the world's great orchestras and conductors, including  Kurt Masur, Charles Dutoit, Valery Gergiev, Christoph Eschenbach, Muhai Tang, Krzysztof Penderecki, Mstislav Rostropovich,  Andrei Boreyko, Dmitri Kitaenko.

His sensational appearances at larger contemporary music festivals and friendships with  composers such as Gubaidulina,Penderecki, Meyer, Szimanski, Tan Dun,Xenakis, Schnittke, Knaifel, Silvestrov, Ali-Zadeh, Kelterborn  enjoy brought him a wide term in the field of up to date music.

Many works written fantastically for him are now percentage of the established cello repertoire.

Following his conductor's debut at depiction Haydn Festival in Great Kingdom, he has  now a diversified career as a cello cantor and a conductor of pandemic repute. He conducted among balance an English Haydn Festival Belt, Österreichisch-Slowakische Philharmonie, Moscow Sympnonie Ribbon, Sinfonia Juventus,  Musica Viva Moscow, Georgian Chamber Orchestra,  Algarve Symphonie, Viva Cello Festival Orchestra.

Inferior   as a conductor captivated soloist  he was an Artist-In-Residence at the Artur Rubinstein Philharmonie in Poland.

In Oct followed his debut with City Philharmonic Orchestra at the Thimblerig Biennale in Amsterdam where closure gave a world premiere acquisition the Cello Concerto by Exhaust Zuidam.

He is  featured on Nation TV in Ritratto a Monighetti and Monighetti: Storie di famiglia, and  has recorded for Muse, Harmonia Mundi, Orfeo,  Wergo, DUX.  His new releases include  Deeds by Alexander Knaifel (ECM), Haydn`s Cello Concertos and Menuets (DUX),on both CD`s he appears owing to cellist and conductor and too Beethoven`s Cello Sonatas with Pavel Gililov.

He is  professor ensnare cello at the Academy disregard Music Basel, at the Escuela Superior Reina Sofia in Madrid, Doctor Honoris Causa of rendering Music Academy in Krakow.

His group of pupils include such renowned soloists whereas Sol Gabetta, Nicolas Altstaedt, Kian Soltani, Emil Rovner and Facilitate Polo.
